Something in the Water Arts Festival Headford Galway
I’ve just had a great weekend at Headford’s Something in the Water arts festival. The committee did a fantastic job of putting the event together and it was a pleasure and an honour to talk to two of my favourite contemporary Irish writers, Alan MacMonagle and E.M. Reapy. Listening to them read from their novels, Laura Cassidy’s Walk of Fame and Skin respectively was an amazing experience and I can’t recommend these two unique and brilliant novels enough. A big thank you to Aisling Keoggh for organising everything, and to Clemence from The Turning Pages Bookshop in Tuam for taking care of sales on the night. Finally, a big shout out to all the locals who turned out on the night despite the weather. I hope to make it back to Headford soon!
