Thanks to everyone who attended events for Pure Innocent Boy in Longford, Dublin, and Ballincollig. It was wonderful to meet everyone, and your well-wishes mean the world. It was an honour to launch Pure Innocent Boy in tandem with Dara Kavanagh, whose novel, Scorched Earth, seems particularly relevant to our times. Eric and Marie of Dedalus Books did a wonderful job of organizing the event, as did everyone at Hodges Figgis.

I’d also like to thank Martina and Wille at Longford Library for making our hometown launch such a success. It was amazing to see so many people turn out.

Finally, a shout-out to Fiona from Leaf & Bower in Ballincollig for the incredible job she has done over the last few weeks. It was great to talk to her about my reading and writing life and her bookshop is a treasure trove of essential reading.

Pure Innocent Boy Featured as Part of RTE Culture Night

Guest editor and award-winning novelist, Belinda McKeon, has included Pure Innocent Boy among the works featured in this year’s RTE Culture Night. You can read an extract from the novel here.

An annual celebration of arts and creativity, RTE Culture Night also featured poetry by Rafael Mendes and Róisín Leggett Bohan.

Pure Innocent Boy Launch Events October 2025

Very excited to be launching my debut novel in Hodges Figgis on October 8th, 2025, at 6 p.m. We’ll also be doing a hometown launch in Longford on October 7th at the Longford County Library. Finally, we’ll be finishing up our mini book tour in Leaf & Bower, Ballincollig, Co, Cork on the 9th.
